Well, come on in.Gear I Use
Everything here has been out with me — on the trail, on snow, or riding around in the van for a year. If it isn't on this page, there's a reason.
What I'm Reaching For Lately
RUX 70L
The thing everybody asks me about. Fair enough — it holds a startling amount of clothing.
Patagonia Capilene
Sun protection that doesn't feel like sun protection. I wear it hiking and biking until someone makes me wash it.
Snow Peak GigaPower Tabletop Lantern
No flame, no fuel canister — just a knob you turn until dinner looks good. It runs on a battery, and it's the nicest-looking thing at camp.
UPDATED WHEN I REMEMBERShop By Activity
Ski Kit
Shells, midlayers, goggles, and the rest of it. Built for resort days in Utah, Colorado, and — yes — the Midwest.
Mountain Biking Kit
Gloves, pads, shorts, and the helmet I've tested harder than I meant to. Dirt is optional. It happens anyway.
Camping Kit
Sleep setup, stove, lantern, and the chairs we end up sitting in far longer than planned.
Van Life
Kitchen, storage, sleep. Everything that keeps my van feeling like a house and not a garage.
Hiking Kit
Hiking shoes, packs, poles, and layers that hold up from Colorado 14ers to the Colorado Trail to the Appalachians.
Everyday Gear
Bags, layers, chargers, water bottles. The unglamorous things I'd notice immediately if they went missing.
I write Overland Girl, where I share gear I use on trips... I only recommend gear I'd bring myself.
